BAC’s new arm just scored a big win. Because Brevard Achievement Center Enterprises, or BACE, teamed with the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) recently. Due to that relationship people with and without disabilities can get to work.
Jobs in Brevard for all abilities.
Teams from around the world play ball at the Space Coast Complex in Viera. Because of that BACE fills critical service needs. Associates take tickets. They clean the facility. Some perform light maintenance work. Plus, like its home base, BACE puts quality first. Thus, customers are always happy.
“BACE hires people with and without disabilities,” said BAC President and CEO, Amar Patel. “Thus, this first partnership creates jobs for people with all abilities to work in a fun atmosphere.”
Patel added that some jobs don’t require much physical labor. Thus, those jobs are great for people who can’t walk far or stand long.
“Creating jobs for people of all levels of disability is definitely a home run for our community,” Patel said.
Inclusive workforces have many benefits for both the employee and the employer. As BACE forms more partnerships, Brevard gains extra opportunities to witness how inclusion works.
Putting the right team in place.
Tom Graver, BACE’s sports operations manager, stepped up to the plate early on. The former ESPN Wide World of Sports Guest Operations Manager oversees five staff and roughly 30 part-time employees. But, more people are needed.
“We have over 20 part-time positions open,” Graver said. “Wages range from $11.47 to $12 an hour depending on the job.”
