BAC Announces Leadership Transitions, Promotions, and New Hires Celebrating Continued Growth and Mission Impact.
BAC is proud to announce a series of leadership transitions, promotions, and new hires that reflect the organization’s continued growth, stability, and unwavering commitment to its mission of creating meaningful employment and advancement opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
These announcements include the retirement of two long-serving leaders whose impact helped shape BAC’s trajectory, the promotion of internal talent into key leadership roles, and the addition of experienced professionals who will strengthen BAC’s operational and strategic capacity.
After nine years of dedicated service, Susan McGrath, Vice President of Business Development and Government Relations, has retired from BAC. During her tenure, McGrath played a pivotal role in advancing BAC’s government relations and community outreach efforts, ensuring that the mission of supporting individuals with disabilities remained at the forefront of every partnership and initiative. She was instrumental in expanding BAC’s external-facing arts programs, building the Community Relations department, and later leading business development and government relations strategies that directly supported employment through federal AbilityOne® contracts.
Amar Patel, President and CEO of BAC, shared:
“Susan’s impact on BAC cannot be overstated. Her passion, integrity, and strategic leadership helped elevate our presence in the community and with our government partners. She consistently ensured that our mission was not just spoken, but lived, in every interaction. We are deeply grateful for her vision and dedication, and we wish her nothing but the very best in her next chapter.”
Also retired at the end of the fiscal year is Robert Gramolini, Vice President of Employment Transition Services (ETS), following an extraordinary 23-year career with BAC. Gramolini’s leadership spanned decades of growth and change, guiding the organization through challenges and achievements alike. His work helped shape employment transition services that have impacted thousands of individuals and families, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion, excellence, and progress.
Patel added:
“Robert’s leadership, heart, and unwavering commitment to the people we serve have left an indelible mark on BAC. For more than two decades, he helped build programs, mentor leaders, and strengthen our culture in ways that will endure long after his retirement. We are profoundly thankful for his service and honored to carry forward the foundation he helped create.”
Leadership Promotions and Internal Advancement
As part of a thoughtful succession plan, Sarah Emerson has been promoted to Director of Employment Transition Services and has joined BAC’s Senior Leadership Team. Emerson has been with BAC for nearly nine years and brings more than 15 years of experience in employment services, social work, and program management. A Certified Community Work Incentives Coordinator (CWIC) and Discovery Specialist, she has led program expansions, guided successful audits and funding renewals, improved billing accuracy, and helped align program metrics with financial expectations.
Her promotion ensures continuity, innovation, and strong leadership within BAC’s Employment Transition Services as the organization continues to expand its reach and impact.
Supporting this transition, two additional internal promotions were made as part of the ETS succession strategy:
- Angela Huether has been promoted to ETS Manager. Angela will continue overseeing the Adult Day Training (ADT) program and Participant Coordinators, while also assuming responsibility for ETS Administration and Transportation.
- Keiara Pusey has been promoted to ETS Assistant Manager and will oversee BAC’s Adult and Youth Employment programs.
BAC also announced the recent title update of Kristi Stephens from Senior Financial Manager to Controller, reflecting the scope of her responsibilities and leadership within the organization. Stephens joined BAC in 2024 and brings deep expertise in GAAP, GASB, and FASB standards, supported by a Master of Science in Accounting and Financial Forensics from Florida Institute of Technology. Her leadership continues to strengthen BAC’s financial stewardship and operational integrity.
