Angela serves on BAC’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) AbilityOne custodial contract, where she has earned a reputation for excellence, reliability, and a consistently positive attitude. Known for her self-starting nature and attention to detail, Angela approaches every assignment with professionalism and pride. From high-traffic restrooms to high-visibility VIP spaces, her standard of work never wavers. 

Angela’s journey with BAC began at the Patrick Space Force Base Commissary contract, where she quickly stood out as dependable and detail oriented. After transferring to Kennedy Space Center, she was assigned to restrooms that had been the subject of repeated customer concerns. Within a week, Angela transformed those spaces. By evaluating conditions from the customer’s perspective and methodically addressing problem areas, she elevated the facilities beyond contract standards. Her efforts earned direct praise from customers, a rare and meaningful recognition in custodial services. 

Her strong work ethic and team-first mindset led to her being cross-trained as a fill-in Lead. Angela embraced this opportunity not for personal advancement, but to support a teammate who needed help. This willingness to step up reflects BAC’s core values of teamwork, accountability, and service. 

Angela’s accomplishments are even more remarkable considering the personal challenges she has faced. She lives with Chiari malformation, a neurological condition that can cause severe and prolonged migraines. Diagnosed less than three years ago, Angela has worked diligently to manage her condition while maintaining exceptional job performance. With workplace accommodations, a consistent schedule, and her own determination, she has limited migraine-related absences to just one day in the past year. 

Her story is a powerful reminder that disability does not define limitations. Instead, Angela continues to set a high bar for performance, demonstrating resilience and determination in every aspect of her work. 

Beyond her individual contributions, Angela has a meaningful impact on those around her. She is known for her engaging personality, her respect for others, and her willingness to lend a hand whenever needed. Whether working in high-security environments, newly constructed facilities, or fast-paced settings, she quickly earns the trust and appreciation of both her team and customers. 

As her supervisor, Susan Ross, shares: 

“Angela possesses the quality that when she comes into an area, everybody knows she’s there. She’s funny, witty, and her eyes are always smiling. But beyond that, she is focused, determined, detail-oriented, and humble. Whatever you ask her to do is done, and if she sees something along the way that needs to be done, that’s taken care of as well. You could not ask for anyone better. We are very lucky that she chose us.” 

For Angela, her role at BAC has been life changing. Through meaningful employment, she has gained stability, independence, and a renewed sense of purpose. She has been able to secure independent housing, support her disabled adult son, and enjoy the confidence that comes with meaningful work.

Angela reflects on her experience: 

“Working at BAC has given me stability, helped me discover and manage my medical condition, and allowed me to work with people I truly enjoy. It’s given me the chance to support myself, take care of my family, and even afford some little luxuries, all while being part of something bigger.”
