Not many people can say that they’ve worked for the same company for 20 years. But, Brevard Achievement Center (BAC) client, Jeff B. certainly can.
Jeff B. began his career as a bagger at a Winn-Dixie in Daytona Beach in 1997 and, in 2002, transferred to its Clearlake Road location in Cocoa where he still works to this day. It was then that Jeff also became an Employment Services Supported Employment client at BAC. To help Jeff be successful on the job, employment coordinators visit him at work and offer assistance where needed. Jeff’s duties as a front-end associate include bagging groceries and retrieving carts from the parking lot.
“When one of us is with Jeff at Winn-Dixie,” said Employment Services Administrator, Mariann Sampieri, “it’s obvious how much he is appreciated because customers know him by name!”
Recently, the ES department invited BAC staff to join them for a 20 year anniversary celebration for Jeff. Sister-in-law, Laura also was in attendance. Laura said that besides work, Jeff is a dedicated fan of Bethune-Cookman and their football program. He also likes to bowl, swim, see a movie and draw.
BAC congratulates Jeff on 20 years of achieving independence through his employment at Winn-Dixie.
