Brevard Achievement Center’s (BAC) Board of Directors recently voted to accept the nominations of local business executives Krista Bragg and Trudy McCarthy.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome both Krista and Trudy to our Board,” said BAC President and CEO, Amar Patel. “Their wealth of knowledge from a variety of perspectives will be a great addition to an already strong group of volunteers.”
Bragg is the Vice President of Operations for Health First’s Holmes Regional Center, Melbourne Same Day Surgery Center and Melbourne GI Center. In addition, she is the executive lead for Health First’s surgical and anesthesia services across four hospitals and two surgery centers. In her over 25 years of experience in the healthcare field, Bragg has written a textbook, delivered hundreds of presentations on patient safety topics and acquired several degrees. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and also was valedictorian; she holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in anesthesia, a Master of Science in Nursing Administration and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nursing Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Currently, Bragg is finishing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Patten University in California.
McCarthy serves as the Senior Director of Marketing and Strategic Initiatives for the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast (EDC). In this position, she works closely with the EDC’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the development and implementation of the strategic priorities and operational plan. Before working for the EDC, McCarthy developed a strong and diverse background from previous marketing and business management positions including Director of Operations for C-MAP Aviation, a worldwide manufacturer of marine, aviation and terrestrial global positioning systems and moving map technology. McCarthy also has managed service and retail businesses. She holds a Bachelor of Marketing from New Hampshire College.
