2019 Summer Transition Programs and Career Camp Offerings
These programs are for eligible high school students ages 14-21 who can work independently, have an IEP or 504 Plan and their own transportation*
It’s Summertime again and that only means one thing! Brevard Achievement Center is back with its paid, intensive summer camp experience.
Students have the option of doing a two-week, 40-hour paid program or a three-week, 60 hour paid program.
Students will learn the basics of work expectations, practice interviews, create resumes and learn the how to not only get a job, but keep a job! Plus much more, the summer camp will have various educational field trips to learn about the post-secondary opportunities available to them. The program runs three weeks, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM each weekday. (40 or 60-hour sessions)
Completion of the 40-hour program will give students a stipend of $100.00, while those who complete the 60-hour program will receive a stipend of $200.00.
