For the third time, Patrick Air Force Base’s (PAFB) Riverside Dining facility was recognized by the U.S. Air Force with the Hennessy Award which, since 1957, has recognized the best food service programs in the U.S. Air Force. The 2014 award was given to PAFB for Best in Air Force Food Transformation. Brevard Achievement Center (BAC) associates perform all food service functions at the facility.
“Receiving the Hennessy Award a third time is an honor with which we are extremely grateful,” said Wayne Wells, vice president of operations for BAC. “It’s our belief that this team continues to win because, to them, their work is not a job, but a small way of letting PAFB’s soldiers know how much their service is appreciated. We are very proud that our associates’ dedication and commitment to the military continues to be recognized,” he said.
The Hennessy Award program has three essential purposes: to promote excellence in customer service and food quality throughout the service by recognizing outstanding dining facility operations and management; inspire high morale, motivation, mission support and a professional image through pride and spirited competition, as recognized by industry peers; and to improve management concepts and practices through industry partner feedback and recommendations.
Congratulations, again, PAFB dining associates for a job well done!
