Mark Bliss
Vice President, Business Development
Mark Bliss is a business development professional with 25 years of experience in business development, program management, budgeting, contract negotiation, scheduling, leadership, and staff positions. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Mark served 22 years in the US Army as an officer. Mark was an attack helicopter pilot for 12 years and a program manager for 10 years while serving in the Army.
As a program manager, Mark led programs in flight simulation, games for training, and a classified IT system. After retirement from military service, Mark worked as a program manager in satellite production on the Space Coast before arriving at Brevard Achievement Center (BAC) in 2020. BAC serves more than 3,000 individuals with disabilities each year through innovative services across its various programs. BAC is the largest employer of individuals with disabilities in Brevard County and the 27th largest AbilityOne producing agency in the national set-aside program providing contracted services to our federal government.
Mark has a Master of Business Administration from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas, and is a current doctoral student pursuing a Doctor of Strategic Leadership from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. Mark earned his Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute in 2018.
In spare time, Mark enjoys working on anything with an engine in his garage and spending time on the water. Mark’s oldest daughter, Sarah, is pursuing a master’s degree at Bristol University, England enroute to becoming a college professor. His youngest daughter, Hannah, is a cadet at the United States Coast Guard Academy.
