In 1976 the United States celebrated its bicentennial, NASA introduced the first space shuttle, and Joanne Siebern began attending Brevard Achievement Center’s (BAC) Adult Day Training (ADT) program in Rockledge. Although Joanne passed away in 2013, her legacy lives on.
Thanks to careful and well thought out estate planning, Joanne was able to bequeath a $100,000 unrestricted gift to BAC. In honor of her decades’ long dedication to the agency, leadership decided to use a good portion of Joanne’s gift to renovate the ADT program’s Classroom 6. The room’s makeover included the addition of cabinets for storage, new floor tile, a new glass door and window to make the room brighter and add more light. In addition, the agency added two new Apple computers and several iPads.
Joanne’s family understood the importance of giving back through careful estate planning. As a result, BAC was one of three organizations to receive a gift from the Siebern estate.
If you plan to create an estate plan, we hope that you will consider making a lasting and meaningful impact with a gift to BAC. And, while there are planned giving vehicles for all income levels, please contact your financial advisor and/or estate attorney before deciding which vehicle is right for you.
Joanne loved coming to BAC every day. Habilitation management and staff feel she would be overjoyed at the improvements BAC made as a result of her generous and well planned gift.
