Behind every mission-critical environment, whether it’s preparing components for launch or ensuring precision in manufacturing there’s one common factor: cleanliness. At BAC, we bring the same precision and control demanded in aerospace and defense environments to every cleanroom we manage. Our teams are trained to meet ISO 14644 cleanroom standards, ensuring controlled environments that protect sensitive materials and processes from contamination and compromise.

This expertise isn’t just theoretical. It’s put into practice at our AbilityOne Program contract at Kennedy Space Center (KSC), one of the most iconic and demanding environments in the world.

Understanding ISO 14644

ISO 14644 is the global benchmark for cleanroom classification and operation, defining how particulate contamination is measured, monitored, and controlled.

  • Part 1: Defines air cleanliness by particle concentration.
  • Part 2: Outlines monitoring, testing, and compliance parameters.
  • Part 5: Covers cleanroom operations and maintenance.

For BAC, these standards guide everything from air filtration and surface cleaning to personnel procedures and equipment protocols. Every process is documented, verified, and executed with precision to maintain compliance with ISO 14644 expectations.

At Kennedy Space Center, our teams perform detailed cleaning and contamination control in critical areas supporting NASA’s operations. These spaces demand absolute adherence to cleanliness thresholds to ensure no particulate interference with sensitive instruments, launch hardware, or fabrication activities.

Our work under the AbilityOne Program not only meets, but often exceeds NASA’s stringent performance requirements. Our employees receive specialized training in cleanroom operations, quality control, and safety compliance, building valuable skills that foster confidence, independence, and long-term career growth.

Every square foot cleaned, every surface decontaminated, and every procedure followed contributes to both America’s space exploration goals and inclusive workforce development.

As a mission-driven organization, BAC’s goal is not just to meet industry standards but to set them in practice. Our ISO 14644-aligned cleanroom expertise demonstrates how operational excellence and social impact can coexist—delivering top-tier results for our federal partners while creating opportunity for individuals of all abilities.

Whether supporting NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Patrick Space Force Base, or any of our other high-security facilities, BAC continues to prove that America is Made Here through precision, partnership, and purpose.
