Team BAC eagerly welcomed Richard Belden, President of SourceAmerica, to our Rockledge headquarters and two AbilityOne Program contract sites.
Mr. Belden’s visit was marked by meaningful engagement with employees at NASA Kennedy Space Center and BAC’s DMDC Contact Center. By immersing himself in the daily operations of these crucial teams, he gained firsthand insight into the pivotal services they offer to our esteemed mission partners. Moreover, Mr. Belden devoted valuable time to meet with members of our management team, engaging in discussions that ranged from direct care programs to strategic growth plans. These conversations not only shed light on the diverse array of challenges we encounter but also celebrated the triumphs that fuel our collective mission.
Central to our collaboration with SourceAmerica is the vital role it plays in supporting over 400 social enterprises nationwide, including BAC, that participate in the AbilityOne Program. This program is not just about providing employment opportunities; it’s about empowering individuals with disabilities to thrive in the workforce and contribute meaningfully to society.
In addition to Mr. Belden’s primary focus on expanding work opportunities within the AbilityOne Program, SourceAmerica’s support extends far beyond mere expansion efforts. From business development to contract management, legislative affairs to professional training, their comprehensive assistance ensures that our network of social enterprises receives the necessary support to thrive in a competitive landscape.
