Snake Wind Catcher
Supplies Needed
Paper Plate
Marker or BAC Pencil
Crayons, Colored Pencils, Markers or Paint
Scissors
Project Instructions
Choose one of the following options:
- Option #1:
- On the inside of the plate (the side where the food goes), draw the snake head and spiral as shown in the photo below.
- Paint the other side of the plate, using sponges and crayons to create textures.
- After the paint dries, cut out the snake.
- The underside of the snake will be plain white.
- Option #2:
- On the outside of the plate (NOT the side where the food goes), draw the snake head and spiral as shown in the photo below.
- Paint or color the snake, making sure not to hide the lines you drew.
- After the paint dries, cut out the snake along the lines.
- The underside of the snake will be plain white.
The first option is easier to paint since you will not need to follow the contours of the snake. It will result in a snake with random patterns and colors.
If you want to create a more specific, realistic snake, use the second option. You may also choose to draw scales on the underside of the snake if you don’t want plain white.
