Meet the Yorktown Team:
The Faces Behind BAC’s Newest Total Facilites Management Contract
When Brevard Achievement Center Enterprises, LLC (BACE) announced its partnership with Tessera to provide comprehensive Facility Maintenance Services at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center (TRACEN) Yorktown, it marked more than the start of a new contract, it marked the formation of a high-performing team committed to mission excellence.
TRACEN Yorktown plays a vital role in the U.S. Coast Guard’s mission to “Forge Today’s Force to Execute Tomorrow’s Mission.” Every member of BAC’s Yorktown team contributes to that readiness by ensuring the facilities supporting this critical training hub remain fully operational, safe, and efficient. Together, they embody the spirit of “Semper Paratus” Always Ready.
Meet the Experts Keeping Yorktown Mission-Ready
KJ – Facility Systems Lead | EMCS Certified (Virginia)
As the team’s certified Energy Management Control Systems (EMCS) professional, KJ brings a systems-level understanding of how all facility components; electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and more, interact to maintain efficiency. His certification ensures Yorktown’s operations meet Virginia’s highest energy and environmental standards.
Rob – Master Electrician
Rob’s technical expertise keeps power flowing across the entire base. As a Master Electrician, his ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex electrical systems ensures that classrooms, barracks, and operational buildings stay online and mission-ready. His precision and reliability form the backbone of Yorktown’s facility operations.
Logan – Appliance Mechanic & Safety Specialist
When the kitchen went down, Logan was the one who jumped into action, diagnosing the issue, repairing it quickly, and getting the dining operation back on track. His hands-on problem-solving and attention to safety makes him a key player in both appliance maintenance and safety compliance throughout TRACEN Yorktown.
Jason & Jerry – HVAC Mechanics
When it comes to climate control across the installation, Jason and Jerry are the go-to experts. Responsible for HVAC systems base wide, they ensure every learning and living space operates at peak comfort and performance. Their skill keeps both personnel and sensitive training environments operating efficiently, no matter the season.
Individually, each team member brings specialized expertise; together, they represent a powerful force in Total Facilities Management (TFM). From heating and cooling systems to electrical infrastructure and appliances, their collective work ensures that the Coast Guard can focus on training tomorrow’s leaders, not troubleshooting today’s building issues.
As BAC President and CEO Amar Patel shared in the official press release:
“This contract is not only about maintaining facilities, but also about ensuring that Coast Guard members have the infrastructure and support they need to remain ‘Always Ready’ to meet today’s challenges. At the same time, it advances the AbilityOne® Program’s purpose of creating meaningful employment for individuals with disabilities and driving America’s economic future while serving those who serve us.”
Through this partnership with Tessera, BAC continues to expand its mission impact, creating opportunities, empowering professionals, and supporting our nation’s defense readiness through trusted, high-quality service.
Brevard Achievement Center Enterprises, LLC (BACE) and its parent organization, Brevard Achievement Center (BAC), are proud to stand beside the U.S. Coast Guard at TRACEN Yorktown, empowering excellence, one system at a time.
